College Knowledge and Financial Aid Night is Wednesday, 10/8 at 6pm!
The ACT is a standardized test that may be used for college admissions and placement in college level classes. The ACT is more popular in the Midwest, but all colleges will accept either the ACT and SAT if they require standardized tests.
Testing has changed a lot in the past few years. Many colleges are "test optional," which means that they do not require test scores as part of the admissions process. You can check out test optional colleges at FairTest.org.
We recommend that you take the free ACT offered at South in the spring of your junior year to have as an option, in case your plans change. You can register for other national test dates at act.org.
