Overview:
This course is required for graduation and is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to help them develop a healthy lifestyle and practice healthy behaviors. It is intended to increase the student's knowledge of health and to enable the student to analyze their attitudes and behaviors in an effort to enhance their quality of life. Students will be exposed to current and medically accurate information from the health field.
The health education curriculum incorporates the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP), which aims to empower students to understand and appreciate the value of being physically active and to develop the motivation for making healthy life choices.
