The Full Equity and Diversity Impact Assessment (EDIA) process involves 3 Phases:
Phase 1: Conducting a study to identify and examine inequities in policies and its practices
Phase 2: Developing and implementing an action plan that addresses the findings from the EDIA study
Phase 3: Monitoring progress by tracking the progress of implementing the action plan
Additionally, MPS Partners with the EDIA Committee, which is an advisory and consulting group who provides equity considerations on the study, action plan, and progress monitoring updates.Â
Activating Threshold for a Full EDIA
The Board of Education directs the Research, Evaluation, and Assessment (REA) department to conduct a Full EDIA on a policy or set of related policies for the upcoming school year.
