Homeless & Highly Mobile (HHM) Title Compliance

The School Social Worker is the primary building contact person for students who are homeless/highly mobile (HHM) and serves as the hub of communication within the school for these students. Schools must work with the School Social Worker to ensure the Title I compliance outlined below is documented in Title I Crate throughout the school year.

HHM - Procedure Is In Place For Identifying Needs

- Documentation could be:
  - Written notes
  - CFS or Infinite Campus entry

Note: Documentation must show student’s current academic progress and any need for support, even if met by a non-Title source, and student’s and family’s current health and safety needs, even if met by another source outside the district

HHM - Transportation & School of Origin

2.2.1 - SAMPLES OF TRANSPORTATION REQUESTS
- Documentation could be:
  - Screenshots of request in Infinite Campus
  - Email communications
2.2.2 - SAMPLES OF EVIDENCE TO SHOW INFORMATION ABOUT RIGHTS OF STUDENT WAS PROVIDED TO PARENT, GUARDIAN, FOSTER PARENT, CASE WORKER, OR UNACCOMPANIED YOUTH
- Documentation could be:
  - Written notes
  - CFS or Infinite Campus entry of a conversation, or a document
  - Information from Student Placement that was sent over after enrollment process

Interventions & school-family compact

Interventions are Implemented (include preschool for PK-5 and PK-8 Sites)

2.3.1 - WRITTEN DESCRIPTION (AT LEAST A FEW SENTENCES TO A PARAGRAPH) OF HOW YOUR SCHOOL IDENTIFIES STUDENTS FOR INTERVENTIONS
2.3.2 - DOCUMENTATION OF INDIVIDUAL INTERVENTIONS DELIVERED TO STUDENTS (NEEDS TO INCLUDE IDENTIFICATION OF WHEN INTERVENTION HAPPENED AND THE NAMES OR ROLES OF SCHOOL STAFF WHO COMPLETED THE INTERVENTION)
- Documentation could be:
  - Intervention tracking spreadsheet
  - Data list of interventions from EduCLIMBER

Note: The documentation of interventions does not need to represent every student at your school who receives interventions—it can be a sample of students or one grade/class

School-Family Compact is Implemented

2.4.1 - EVIDENCE PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES WERE ADVERTISED TO FAMILIES
- Documentation could be:
  - Newsletters
  - School calendar
  - Transcript and screenshot of delivered robo-calls
  - Any other way conferences were advertised to families
2.4.2 - EVIDENCE INFORMATION WAS CONVEYED TO FAMILIES ABOUT HOW TO ACCESS SCHOOL STAFF
- Documentation could be:
  - A teacher’s newsletter with their contact information
  - Statement in handbook about how to access staff
  - Screenshot of school directory on school's website
2.4.3 - EVIDENCE INFORMATION WAS CONVEYED TO FAMILIES ABOUT VISITING AND VOLUNTEERING AT THE SCHOOL
- Documentation could be:
  - Newsletters
  - School-parent handbook
  - Any other way this information was delivered to families
