PART-TIME ENROLLMENT FAQs (including Health & Fitness for Life)
All MPS high school students are eligible to request enrollment for one or more MPS Online classes during the school year. This is called part-time or dual-enrollment.
Students may take MPS Online classes in-addition to their in-person classes for enrichment; if students elect to take an MPS Online class in place of their in-person classes, they must follow their in-person school's policy for scheduling, release hours, etc.
Students must consult with their in-person school counselors about incorporating part-time classes into their schedules before completing the MPS Online enrollment forms.
Students and families must complete the enrollment forms and read all sections thoroughly; counselors cannot complete enrollment forms for students.
Students may register for semester or year-long classes with MPS Online in available open classes (only exception for Part 2 of Health or FFL). Click here to view our 2025-2026 Course Catalog.
Not all MPS Online classes in the Course Catalog will be available to part-time students in 25-26 due to maximum seats already reached by full-time students.
Space is subject to availability. Priority in classes is given to full-time MPS Online students; remaining spots are available to part-time students in order of seniority and then time of enrollment.
If an available MPS Online class reaches capacity, students will be placed on a waitlist. Students will be notified via email if they got a seat or are on the waitlist and next steps.
All part-time classes are completely asynchronous meaning that there are no required live classes, all work is done independently on INFINITE CAMPUS, our learning platform imbedded inside the Infinite Campus portal. Students may complete their MPS Online work in the evenings, weekends, or any time that fits their schedule!
All students and families must read the MPS Online Part-Time Student & Family Expectations thoroughly before requesting enrollment
