Students who eat breakfast at Burroughs will eat in the cafeteria before coming up to the classroom. In the classroom students will find a daily message on the board for them to read. It might start like this...

😀 "Good morning, BRAVE STUDENTS! The sun rose one minute later today than it did yesterday. Today we will learn about the phases of the Moon. You have a new math Work Place this morning...."

This time will often be when students work and play in math "Work Places" (activity stations).

Sometimes students will also use this time to finish work in the Groves Reading workbook assigned from the previous day.
