What exactly is “love”?
We may feel our hearts drawn to someone, long to see them, or simply feel happy when we are with them.
At the same time, love can also bring misunderstandings and breakups, leaving us wondering, “Why did I fall in love with this person?”
Long before psychology and neuroscience emerged, people have been thinking about love.
What is love?
When we fall for someone, what is it that we actually love?
And why do we fall in love?
In this Tea & Thought session, we will explore love from a variety of perspectives, from ancient ideas and philosophies to contemporary research.
Rather than trying to find one definitive answer, this will be a chance to take a small step back from our own experiences of love and reflect on them from a different perspective.
“Why do I love this person?”
Behind this question may lie deeper questions—not only about the person we love, but also about what we see in them, who we become when we are with them, and what we ourselves call “love.”
If we could understand love, would we learn how to love better?
Why not slow down, enjoy a cup of tea, and take some time to think about love together?

Thu’s interests center around four themes: beauty, love, life, and death.
Starting with questions such as:
“What is this?”
“Why does it exist?”
“What possibilities does it hold?”
She explores her own questions through poetry and various forms of creative expression, continuously engaging with the ideas that arise along the way.
Tea & Thought is not a lecture or a note-taking class. Instead, Tea & Thought offers a gentle yet thoughtful space for dialogue, where everyone can observe, ask questions, and reflect together on the ideas that have shaped the modern world.
