Speech

This course will focus on the practical aspects of public speaking. Students will examine stage fright and learn skills for building confidence. Students will gain experience in gathering facts, using logic and reasoning, as well as reading and analyzing successful speeches. Since the goal of any speech is to communicate, emphasis will be placed on effective communication. Through various speech assignments, students will have the opportunity to sharpen their public speaking and listening skills.

As communicators, students will be encouraged to experiment with creative and thoughtful expression of their Christian worldview.
