WHAT WILL HELP:
Listen to unfamiliar music and try to make a comment under each of the headings of MAD T SHIRTS
Listen to Bach Badinerie, revise main musical features, characteristics that make it typical of the Baroque period and compare the A and B sections.
Listen to Africa, revise main musical features, analyse the structure, revise the chord sequence, explain the use of instruments

WHAT WILL HELP:
Listen to music from an array of genres and listen for influences from other genres.
Consider the ways that the music you listen to has been produced.
Keep up to date with documentation that supports practical tasks.
Use Youtube and other online resources to watch recording sessions, and observe recording techniques.

COURSEWORK REQUIREMENTS: All work for component 1 and 2 (internal assessments) has been completed and submitted (60%). The remaining 40% is based on your choreographic and written response to the component 3 exam brief (released in January).
WHAT WILL HELP:
Full attendance and engagement with lessons and exam preparation. Start making notes and drafting your ideas log early in the creative process.
From Jan (when your choreographic task is released) attending the weekly Dance masterclass on a Monday after school.

Use the BTEC Dance Comp 3 Revision guide I have lent you. This will help you understand the brief, hit the criteria and draw influences from professional dance works we have studied.
Continue to develop your physical and expressive dance skills, come to practcal exams with movement already created contribute ideas to the group work, dont rely on others to lead.
Continue to watch as much dance as possible in a wide variety of styles and record analysis/ideas/inspiration in a choreographic journal for future reference. Join the MBA Dance Company to get as much performance experience as possible before your exam.
