Listen to Bach Badinerie, revise main musical features, characteristics that make it typical of the Baroque period and compare the A and B sections.

WHAT WILL HELP:

•  Listen to music from an array of genres and listen for influences from other genres. 

• Consider the ways that the music you listen to has been produced.

COURSEWORK REQUIREMENTS: All work for component 1 and 2 (internal assessments) has been completed and submitted (60%). The remaining 40% is based on your choreographic and written response to the component 3 exam brief (released in January).

WHAT WILL HELP:  

• Full attendance and engagement with lessons and exam preparation. Start making notes and drafting your ideas log early in the creative process.

• From Jan (when your choreographic task is released) attending the weekly Dance masterclass on a Monday after school.

• Use the BTEC Dance Comp 3 Revision guide I have lent you. This will help you understand the brief, hit the criteria and draw influences from professional dance works we have studied. 

• Continue to develop your physical and expressive dance skills, come to practcal exams with movement already created  contribute ideas to the group work, dont rely on others to lead.  

• Continue to watch as much dance as possible in a wide variety of styles and record analysis/ideas/inspiration in a choreographic journal for future reference. Join the MBA Dance Company to get as much performance experience as possible before your exam.
