The verbal part of my grade I got a meets because I talked 3 times. In my next socratic seminar I want to talk more

ELA I Ready BOY reflection
My overall grade level for ELA is Early 8th grade. The percentile that I got for the national norm is 72%. I scored the highest in Phonic and I scored the lowest in comprehension of informational text. By the end of the year I want to be in mid 8th for all of them I will do this by trying hard.

TED Talk Reflection
In this project I learned about controversy and how racial inequality has played a big role is our history. I learned how to create and present a TED Talk and I got a meets because I talked for not that long but had good info.
Just Mercy Long-Term Learning Target: I can demonstrate my knowledge of Early American history, government and civics through a TED Talk-style presentation that analyzes the major political and social changes that affected the definition of citizenship and the rights of citizens, and explain how those changes continue to impact marginalized groups today.
Kit Carson Long-Term Learning Target: I can apply my knowledge of Westward Expansion, geography and government by constructing a well-organized mock trial for or against Kit Carson using logical reasoning, relevant and credible evidence, and acknowledgement of opposing claims.

Mock Trial Reflection
Some goals that were a part of this project was understanding westward expansion and law. We had to apply our knowledge of westward expansion and for language arts we made a written aspect and put our knowledge of law to work for the mock trial.
During this mock trial I grew in public speaking I was nervous and after I got confidence and can now do this confidently. I also grew in working with my peers and learned that time management is the key.
I learned that law can be fun and that it is the way our world works. If I ever want to become a lawyer or work in law knowing how a trial works will be helpful.
I learned that I like school and public speaking as well as working with other people is something that I am good at.
Overall I would give myself a meets because I put in a lot of effort into my parts of the project as well as have a lot of work that I contributed to the overall project.
One goal I have is to keep putting in effort to my individual work as well as group work.
Another goal I have is to get all my work done in a timely manner so that I do not have missing or late work.
My last goal is to continue working hard in humanities class.
