Goal

My goal for science is to get better at being prepared and ready to work. I can improve it by focusing on my work as much as possible and reminding myself about the project. I can also work at home to prepare myself for the projects I work on.

Projects

Project 1

Rock cycle virtual lab

In this lab we answered questions about rock cycles and different kinds of rocks so once we finished we ended up getting a picture of a rainbow sea creature.

It helped us understand the concept because if you get the question wrong you can still retry it.

I think I used effort in this project because I tried my best and put in as much effort as possible. rock cycle

In this lab we answered questions on a slide show about tectonic plates .

It helped me understand the concept because you would do different kinds of activities for each slide.

I think I used refinement in this project because I refined it a lot after I finished a slide and I put a lot of thought into each question.Plate tectonics I also think I used a lot of integrity because I could've looked at my classmates answers instead of doing it on my own I also worked on it at home to make sure it was good and ready.

Project 2

Plate tectonics Lab

the learning target for this project was I can figure out and show my understanding of plate tectonics by seeing the movement and interaction of earths plates remembering the geological features that they create. I think I did meet this learning target because I got a meets on the assignment and I worked really hard on it. In the lab we did different activities on slides about plate tectonics the slides included reading, writing, drawing, watching videos, and other activities. To complete it we had to look back at other slides to fill out questions on different slides we also had to read things about plate tectonics to figure it out. This project can be applied to the future because I put a lot of effort into it and thought into this so I can use that skill for future projects. This could help me in the future with time and management because I had to work hard and get it done because there was a lot of work so I can use that in the future to space out my steps.

Project 3

Our Exhibition

The learning target for this project was show evidence from rock strata for how the geological time scale is used to understand earths history I think I met this learning target because I worked well with my group and I think the project looked pretty good once we finished. The project was were we made a board that we painted stuff about rock strata from are region that we had for are last exhibition. My region was the pacific north west coast. To complete it we would research about rock strata from the pacific north west then we would paint on the pice of wood a model of their rock strata. This project can help in the future with group work because we had to make sure everyone got a turn working on it this will help with making sure to include people in future projects.

Exhibition: Interstellar Chronicles.

I think I did a good job on this exhibition because I was very focused and worked really hard to make it work and have good information.

I do think that The group work part was a little bit hard because we had a really big group so it was hard to present it all together.

I did do a really good job with effort and refinement because We had to refine our research a lot so that it would be correct. I also did a good job with effort because are model kept breaking and not working out so during the exhibition we had to persevere and make sure it wouldn't fall over. I got a meets on my model and on my research then I got an exceeds on my presentation because I memorized my whole script and presented really well

Farming Exhibition

Topic and how I completed it:

To complete this project I worked with a partner to make a presentation about the topic of coral reefs and how chemicals are affecting them in negative ways.

How do you think it went:

I think this exhibition went really well because I was very prepared and ready to present because I memorized my script and I think overall it had a lot of good stuff.

Group Work:

I think I did really well with group work on this project because I was very respectful to them and there Ideas. I also think I was very helpful because we split it all up evenly so we were both doing the same amount of work and if my partner needed help I would try to figure it out with them.
