I was not so happy with this artwork but if I had to chose a favorite part it would probably be the cherries in it. This represents me because inside of it is a bunch of things I love. I chose to do this because I thought it would look cool if there was like thing hidden inside of something.

I have the country Mali for this project. This country has lots of landscape art and the also have lots of statues they make to represent important people from the past. This art represents survival and important events or places. Artists chose to paint and make things like this because they thought of it as a good way of telling stories and letting the past events and people stay remembered and sacred. This art has a lot of the element form because they make lots of statues. Some of the history about this art was from past wars and people that passed away in the war.

I got inspired to do this art work because I love ducks and I thought that it would look cool in oil pastel. It also gives a peaceful and happy mood. I used the technique blending a lot for this project because at first I drew a n or Al duck and then I added different colors and shading to it. I started to love ducks when I was at the river and I saw a really cute duck swimming around and this artwork is supposed to be the duck I saw. I hope for people who look at this see something peaceful and unique when they see this artwork.
