Our 7th grade lens is identity, my identity changed more throughout this year. The way I have changed my identity is by hanging out with different people because mostly all of my friends left the school at the beginning of the year. So I started hanging out with new people and was able to finish the year strong. 

My 7th grade significant adult is Mrs.Evans. I chose Mrs. Evans because she is always a hard worker and has dedication. She is inspring because she always displays a positive attitude towards everything. Mrs.Evans was my 6th grade humanties teacher and she was all I could ask for. We had fun in the classroom while still getting lots of work done and unreal growth. She has recently become a mom and has an amazing kid named Leo. Even with a busy and tiring life she was still able to show up today. This shows all the dedication of her over the years and I can't thank her enough. 

(IN SCHOOL EXAMPLE) 

I had many opportunities to show respect but definitely could have shown more. An example of how I could have shown more respect is by being more respectful to my team members when disagreeing. But, in our last science exhibition of the year I was respectful when we had disagreements in the group. That project was called Change the Story of life. 

(OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL EXAMPLE)

I have demonstrated respect  outside of school by constantly being respectful to everyone including people I don't  know and continuing to improve my maturity. I think I have grown to be nicer to my teammates in baseball and other sports.  There are still ways I can grow in this habit by taking feedback more respectfully and other respectful habits at home like chores. 

(IN SCHOOL EXAMPLE) 

I demonstrated integrity by taking the opportunities of doing the work at home and getting it turned in early or on time. I demonstrated this in many assignments but I also could have done it in many more. The assignment I think I demonstrated the most in was our Humanities Choice Board Project.

(OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL EXAMPLE)

I have had integrity outside of school by being honest to friends and family and having someone they can trust. I also can demonstrate integrity by picking up trash and other things when I am outside, even if it isn't mine. I think I could still grow in this by understanding what others are saying and really try to help them if I am trying to give them feedback in baseball or other sports. 

(IN SCHOOL EXAMPLE) 

I have had opportunities to put effort into every assignment this year and I'd say I took most of those. I definitely put lots of effort into my exhibitions to make them exceed the original expectations. I have so many examples but I chose this one to represent my effort.  I chose my Math Summative assessment #6. 

(OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL EXAMPLE) 

I have put a lot of effort into baseball and fishing over the past year. I have been spending lots of time into these sports improving my skills and techniques while having fun. With fishing I have been learning a lot about fly fishing and how much there is to learn. I have been practicing baseball and getting better constantly.  

(IN SCHOOL EXAMPLE) 

In Refinement I also had many opportunities for my work for every assignment I completed this year. I don't think I took as many of these opportunities as I wanted to but I did definitely take some opportunities such as my Humanities Research Essay Final draft. I put a lot of refinement into this assignment because I had to do 3 drafts before turning the final one in which took a lot of refining.

(OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL EXAMPLE)

I have demonstrated Refinement outside of school because of always working on my feedback. I might not look like I accepted it but then I start to work on it and get better. I also put a lot of refinement into fly fishing by constantly refining  my casting skills.

I have grown a lot this year, in every subject. I think I'm ready for 8th grade because I am prepared for all that is to come and new opportunities. Those new opportunities will be possible in a new school for 8th grade. I am proud of sticking through 7th grade. 7th grade is  the hardest school year in my opinion but it does teach you skills that some people don't realize. Such as time management, ownership, ans self confidence. My best takeaway from 7th grade is that you will experience self doubt but you can always overcome it. 

Overall, I have done a lot of learning in 7th grade. I think I have done so much growing and developing for the future with learning hard and unique skills to master. I have not mastered these under any circumstances but I am progressing faster than other people. This was the most challenging year of my life but I probably learned the most out of every school year in my life. Thank you so much for coming! Are there any questions?
