i-Ready Beginning of Year DP Reflection

When I tested for math at the very beginning of the year, my score was late 7th grade. I am pretty sure this means I'm where I'm supposed to be, because when I took the test I hadn't learned any 8th grade math concepts yet. I scored in the 74th percentile. I scored the highest in algebra and algebraic thinking, and the lowest in numbers and operations. By my last i-Ready test, I want to score in late 8th grade for math.

Math Mindset Reflection

Sometimes, when people make mistakes in math they perceive it as not being a "math person," because they have learned that mistakes are not valued, and sometimes get punished for mistakes. Mistakes are extremely important, as they are a part of learning and growing. Right now, I feel like I will do pretty well in math based on my i-ready scores. I can improve my math mindset by viewing math as fun instead of annoying.

Unit 1 Test and Workbook Reflection

This quiz was about rigid transformations and congruence. I got a meets + on my test, because I got 13/14 questions right. I got an approaching on my workbook because I missed lesson 12. My goal for the next unit is to make sure to bring my workbook home if I miss a day of math so I can complete the lesson.

Geometry quiz #1: In this quiz I got a meets because I understood the topic. This quiz was about the start of translations, rotations, and reflections. A goal for future quizzes is to keep getting meets and keeping up.

Geometry quiz #2: In this quiz I got a meets. I got a meets because I studied a little bit and this topic was pretty easy for me. This quiz was about rigid transformations. I also met my goal that I set from last quiz, which was to keep getting meets on my quizzes and tests.

Unit 2 Workbook and Test Reflection

This unit was about dilation, similarity, and introducing slope. I got a meets on this workbook. This is because I did each lesson she told us to and participated in class. I also got a meets on my test. This test was a summary of all we have been working on in class for unit 2.

Unit 3

Algebra quiz #1: I got a 5/5 on this quiz, which is a meets. This quiz was about slope and linear relationships. I think this unit is pretty easy so far. A goal for my next quizzes is to keep up and keep getting good grades.

Algebra quiz #2: In this quiz, I got a 5/5. This quiz was about slope and linear relationships like the last one, and I understood it. A goal for my next quiz is to keep getting good grades.

Test Reflection

This test was about linear relationships, linear equations, and slope. I got a meets on this test because I studied to make sure I knew the material and I worked hard on the test.

Workbook Reflection

I got a meets+ for the grade on my workbook because of my effort in this workbook. This workbook was helpful because it taught us all we need to know for our unit test.

Unit 4 assessment

I got a meets on this test, and this test was mainly about multi-step equations, single step equations, etc. I understand this unit very well and I think I did really well.

Systems of Equations Level Up Sheet

This assingment was about graphing equations, solving them, and seeing if they have one solution, no solutions, or infinite solutions. There were 4 levels on this sheet, and you had to complete 3/4 levels to get a meets. I got a meets because I got 3/4 levels done by the end of class.

Algebra quiz #3: I got a 4/5 on this quiz, which is pretty good because I was nervous about how hard this quiz was gonna be. This quiz was about solving systems of equations with substitution and graphing the equations.

Unit 4 Workbook reflection

I got a meets on this workbook because I did all of the problems that were assigned in the workbook. This workbook was about linear equations and linear systems.

Unit 4 final test reflection

I got a meets on this test. This test was about systems of equations, linear equations, linear systems, and graphing different formulas. Overall, understood this unit pretty well.

Unit 5

Functions Quiz #1: I got a 5/5 on this quiz. This quiz was about linear and non linear functions. A goal for me in our next quiz is to use refinement and check over my answers.

Unit 5 Test & Workbook Reflection

This test was mainly about linear functions, non linear functions, and finding the volume of a sphere and cone. I originally got a 10/15 on this test, which is not good at all, but I did test corrections and bumped my grade up to a meets. I also got a meets on my workbook for this unit. My goal for the next unit is to get a meets on the test.

Numbers and Operations Quiz #1: This quiz was about multiplying, adding, subtracting, and dividing exponents. I got a 5/5 on this quiz.
