Chemistry quiz #1:

This quiz was about Protons, nutrons, electrons and ionic and covalent bonds. The score I recived was a 6/6 because I got all or the questions correct and used my anchor chart to study. A goal I would like to complete with future science quizzes is to keep my anchor chart up to date after each science class, and get at least a meets on all of my future quizzes.

Chemistry quiz #2:

This quiz was about atomic bonding, physical and chemical changes and chemical equations and chemical models. I got the grade of 7/8, witch translates to a meets, I got this grade because a paid attention in class and took good notes in class. Next quiz, even there is no opportunity to get an exceeds, I want to push myself to an 8/8.

Chemistry unit test:

This chemistry test was about everything we have learned this unit, we had to show what we knew about Protons, neutrons, electrons, valence electrons, atomic bonding, chemical reactions, physical changes, and chemical equations. I received the grade of a meets or 33/37. I got this grade because I studied using my anchor chart , but I think I could have dedicated a little bit more time to it. For my next test, I want to try to get a meets + or exceeds by dedicating more time to studying.

Unit #2:waves

Waves Long-Term Learning Target: I can demonstrate my understanding of wave physics by designing and constructing an escape room that incorporates these principles effectively.

Waves Quiz #1

This quiz was all about what we have learned about waves so fat in this unit, Transverse waves, longitudinal waves, light, amplitude, frequency and sound. I got an 8/10 on this quiz. Next time I want to get a 10/10, I can make this improvement by better preparing for the quiz by studying my anchor chart.

Science anchor chart #1

I know it is hard to see because this is a bad picture, but after each science lesson we used our notes to write a brief overall summary of what we learned that day. These will be displayed at exhibition.

Chem Theater Refleciton

My name is Quinn Feeney I participated in the chemical theater exhibition. My experiment was the magnesium and dry ice which was really fun! During the preparation one challenge my group faced was not having enough supplies to practice our experiment as many times as everyone else. We only got to entirely practice our experiment twice. Another challenge we faced was that the first time I attempted the experiment at the exhibition the magnesium fire went out immediately, but we tried again and then it worked better than any of our practice runs. One piece of advice I would give you is to memorize your script because it is really hard to perform your experiment as you are reading from your script. Memorizing my script and only having note cards with jot dots worked really well for me because I was actively performing my experiment as I was talking.

My team worked really well together, but this is not always the case. Any time my group had conflicts, we talked it through and came to a logical decision. Another strategy that worked for my group was using everyone's skills and talents to our advantage, and evenly spitting up work. In this project I learned so much about chemistry, including everything about atoms, molecules, molecular bonding, physical changes, chemical reactions, endo vs exothermic reactions and so much more. I got an overall exceeds on this project. I got an exceeds on my presentation, professionalism, group work and script, and a meets on my poster and reflection.

This unit we learned all about Newton's three laws of motion, kenetic energy vs potential energy and the forces shown in free body diagram, each of these will apply to our rocket launch exibition. Each anchor chart entry has an explanation of what we learned that day, a relevant picture and an explanation of why it connects. I put in a lot of effort into this anchor chart and am proud of the result.

I got a score of 5/5 for this quiz which was an improvement from the last few quizzes. I got this score because I made sure to look back at my anchor chart for the entries that connected to the questions, and in class I made sure to pay attention to the topics ato understand thuroughly.
