In art we have been making sculptures out of old books that the teachers didn’t need anymore to go with our stories that we wrote in Humanities during our storytelling unit.
We created sculptures using books that teachers were no longer using and the pages inside. Something that I think is interesting about my art piece is that it dosen"t represent just a scene from my personal narrative, but instead it represents the theme and message that I hope for readers to get from reading my story. The moral of my story was based off of this quote,"To go with the flow is like riding the waves of the ocean, where you adapt to the changing currents and simply move with the natural rhythm, rather than fighting against the force."(unknown) To represent this in my art I made waves, a bridge and birds to represent the message behind my story, because one of the biggest lessons we have learned out of this semester in humanities has been that no matter how small, ordinary or common the story is, all stories matter! This project went pretty smoothly, but if I was able to redo this project the main thing I would change is to make it connect more to what happened in my story (besides the moral) and add more detail.
we made art on a crankie to show the ecosystem in our ecoreigon. We not only visually showed how our ecoreigon looks but we also shaowed things like biodiverity, flora, fauna, energy transfer and more!
In art I most use the habit of heart and mind respect by showing respect through art and culture.
