This trip was so fun! We went on 3 major hikes around Chaco and slept in a tent with 3 other people. Our food that we ate was really really good. My confidence went up A LOT here because we slept in a tent which I haven't done before and we stayed without any parents which I've done before. Here are the hikes we went on:
Casa Rinconada
Chetro Ketl
Pueblo Bonito
Two things I learned were what the squares in Kivas are for and that there is a crack in a rock that had a sun dial inside that crack and when the sun goes through that crack it hits the sun dial.
The learning target was: I understand how some of the first people to live in North America adapted to their climates and geography. The region me and my group studied was the Southwest. I got an exceeds, in other words I met the standards and more. To do that I memorized my script, I had a positive attitude, the project model was as accurate as we could make it and I performed thorough research. In model of the region I got an exceeds, for the project research I got a meets. In Group work I got an exceeds and in Exhibition Presentation I got an exceeds. Something that I could improve on was not looking so nervous and not stuttering. Overall this presentation was really fun and I can't wait to do something like it in the future.
