I'm in 8th grade and my favorite subject is science or aerial silks for SIG. Outside of school I love to swim as I am on the Durango swim club and I'm the fastest person on my skill group, I also like to lay in my bed with my cat and stare at my computer. My goals for the future are shooting high as I want to be an Olympic swimmer and a lawyer. I also really want to get good grade and not fail any classes
..
I'm in 8th grade And so far it has been a lot and I'm not going to sugar cot it because if I'm being honest... it hasn't been that great as I'm tired all the time and the homework is brutal especially if you fall behind or have activity's after school that run late, I have made new friends and I have meet the other side of people who I thought were my friends. 8th grade has put a lot on me but it has also shown me who my friends are. I'm in aerial for an upcoming show and currently learning french. I'm not swimming for SLC week for maintenance but Otherwise I swim about all the time. Im 13 years older and my cat is 3.
At school, "impact" means the effect or result that something has on students, staff, and the wider school community. For example, a school might measure the impact of a new tutoring program by seeing if students' grades improve, or the impact of a new policy by noticing how students' behavior or attendance changes. The most direct and widely understood type of impact is its effect on students. This involves assessing how well a new teaching strategy, curriculum, or extracurricular program changes student knowledge, skills, and engagement. For instance, a school might implement a new reading program and measure its impact by tracking students' reading comprehension scores over time, evaluating not just immediate changes but also long-term retention. Beyond academics, impact can also be measured in areas like student well-being, attendance rates, and social development, using both quantitative data like test scores and qualitative data like student interviews. Educational leaders use this evidence to understand what works for different student groups and to ensure initiatives are truly effective.
Impact
For me, exploring the concept of "impact" involves understanding my actions, decisions, interested and how it effects others. My communities, and the wider world. Given to my developmental stage, this is a time when I am increasingly my self-awareness and becoming concerned with my social circles, but also capable of more complex, abstract thinking. As 8th graders are getting older they learn more and for being the last grade at mountain, it help 8th graders be leaders and give them experience before high school.. In mountain I feel I did a lot by making new friends and see who people truly are but I also have been a mountain ambassador and helped out the school for a couple years by planning dances and fun things for the school. I want to do good in high school by getting good grades on my assignment and even staying on top of my work as it can make a big deal for the people I can hang out with due to me deciding to spend my time with.
