This page is designed to guide you through getting the Abingdon campus ready for a weekend service. This checklist specifically is what should be done BEFORE volunteers arrive. Ideally the person doing this checklist should arrive one hour before volunteer call time (please, no later than 30m before). This gives time for troubleshooting.
Each number is meant to act as reminder. But if you don't know how to do that particular item, click on it and it should expand downward with more information.
If anything is missing from this checklist or if something has changed, help us keep this page up to date by letting us know.
As you come in the double doors from the auditorium, look right. There is a four button switch in between a set of double doors. Press the second button.
Store that dust cover under the desk somewhere out of the way.
On the back of the CL3 there's a push-in style power button; press that in. It'll take 30ish seconds to boot. While you're waiting, go on to step 2.
Press shift to wake the Mac Mini. You'll see the vertically oriented (or portrait oriented) monitor to the left of the audio console light up. If it doesn't, make sure that monitor is powered on. There should be a small white light on the top-right corner of the monitor (what would normally be the bottom right if the monitor were oriented the normal way). If there's no light, press the power button on the top right corner of the monitor.
If you don't know the password, please send a message on the Discord server or text the campus production director.
To launch spotify, click the green circular spotify icon in the dock. Navigate to a playlist to test "House 1" is a good choice normally.
To launch L'Acoustic Network it's best to launch from the icon on the desktop. Double click it to launch.
For weekend services use the "WEEKEND" user profile.
For Students use the "STUDENTS" user profile.
For Groups use the "GROUPS" user profile.
If you don't know what user profile to use or what your password is, contact the Campus Production Director.

Before proceeding to waking the amps, please make sure there's no audio signal on the master fader. This could damage the PA (and you!).
On the Audio Mac Mini, in the L'Acoustics Network Manager (you launched this in step 3), click "wake amps" on the left side of the application.
Play some Spotify through the Quips channel to make sure everything is set up and running.

Press shift or wiggle the mouse to wake the iMac. (If it doesn't come up in 3-5 seconds press and hold the power button on the back of the display.)
If you don't know the login information contact the campus Production Director.
There's a small computer monitor to the right of the iMac. Press the power button on the bottom right of the display. This should show a view of the stage. If the image doesn't look something like the picture below, read this article on how to control Campus Review cameras.
On the iMac launch ProPresenter 7 from the dock at the bottom of the screen. It looks like an orange square. If there is a small dot below the logo, look for a minimized version on the right side of the dock.
On the left side of ProPresenter 7 there should be a playlist labeled with today's date and the suffix "ABG." Something like this "2021-07-18 ABG" for July 18th, 2021.
Click the first item in the playlist named, "Pre/Post Service Loop." Click the first slide. You should see it previewed in the top right of the ProPresenter window.
There is a display labeled "Ikigami", press the power button on the bottom left corner of that display. It should show the three cameras plus the campus review camera (so only four panes in total).
On the desk there's a device that says "Panasonic" with what looks like a joystick coming out of it. On the back left corner there's a power switch.
There is a Dell monitor used for Resi. Press the power button on the lower right bezel of the display. It should show Resi's interface.
The display directly in front of the video switcher. Press the power button on the lower right corner of the display. There should be a total of 10 panes, on top a preview and live view then 8 video feeds below.
Wake GFX 2 by pressing shift or wiggling the mouse. (If it doesn't wake in ~5 seconds, press and hold the power button on the back of the iMac display.)
If you don't know the login credentials, contact the campus Production Director
Launch Safari and click on the bookmark for Air Blades OR press the "Blades" button on the streamdeck.
Then press the "BLK" button on the right side of the virtual controller.
Troubleshooting tips: If the virtual controller doesn't show an indicator light under the SDI button then try refreshing the tab. If after refreshing the SDI light still isn't lit, you'll have to go backstage to the rack room to un-black the blades. Look for the device in the rack that looks just like the virtual controller with a "BLK" button on the right.
On the iMac launch ProPresenter 7 from the dock at the bottom of the screen. It looks like an orange square. If there is a small dot below the logo, look for a minimized version on the right side of the dock.
In SAFARI (sorry, it must be Safari for the StreamDeck to work properly) navigate to PlanningCenterOnline.com. Leave it here for the Service Director of the day to sign in. (If anyone is signed in, please sign them out.)
The big 80" TV on the back wall of the auditorium has four buttons on the back, lower-right corner. Press the one closest to the edge of the display.
Press the BLK button on the preview line of buttons on the Video Switcher to wake it.
Go to the "Events" tab on the left side of the screen.
Towards the center of the screen, look for a button labeled "refresh list." Click it.
Look for today's event. Usually, for Weekend Services it's "Broadcast Service Recording" from the previous Thursday night.
Click that event, then click the "Select Event" button.
In the popup box it's asking if you want to clear the cache, normally it's fine to do so. If you've experienced any network issues that morning, to be safe, do not clear the cache.
After you've selected the event click the "Cues" tab on the left side of the screen (just under "Events").
You should see at least four cues:
Bumper (Campuses Start Here)
Message Start
Prayer -or- Last 30s
END (Campuses Out Here)
Select Bumper (Campuses Start Here) then press play on the bottom left corner of the screen to test playback.
Make Resi live on the video switcher (you should see it on the LED walls). Then go over to the audio console and unmute the Resi channel to make sure audio sounds fine.
Once both are checked to be functioning properly you can hit pause on Resi, mute audio, and take it off of the LED walls.
Near the backstage door on stage (so stage-left) there are nine light switches. These should be switched up/on.
On the ground on stage there are four larger lighting fixtures. These need to be powered on. There is a small power switch on the back of the base of these fixtures.
If you don't know the password to the iMac, message the Campus Production Director.
---
Once the iMac is awake, make sure all four MBox applications are launched and running. There are four icons on the dock with "M" in the icon. When they're active there will be a small dot under those icons on the dock. If one does NOT have a dot, click on that icon.
If you don't know the password, please contact the Campus Production Director.
---
On the desktop there will be a Vista icon labeled "ABG Post-Covid." Double click that to launch that Vista showfile.
There's a power switch on the back of the console towards the left-side, switch it. The console should light up.
On the S1 press play on the first fader. The button should turn green.
Press the button above the Walk In Cuelist on the L5 virtual console to release that cuelist.
On the short wall/bannister right behind the lighting monitor there is a four-button light switch (like the one near the double doors as you came in).
Press the third button, labeled "Release." This takes the house light controller out of the picture for control over the lights and gives full control to the lighting console.
Press the fourth button, labeled "Lock." The little LED light should turn red. This means that the house light buttons around the room will no longer work. (We don't want house lights going to full in the middle of a song or something just because someone leaned against the switch.)
This cue has three things in it that you need to test:
Air Blades
Stage Lights
Ground/Floor R2 Spots
If any of those three are not working (things should look like the picture below this text), check out the troubleshooting below.
Air Blades Aren't Working - At the Service Director position, at GFX 2, launch Safari and click on the bookmark for Air Blades OR press the "Blades" button on the streamdeck.
-----
Stage Lights Aren't Working - Go on stage, behind the stage-left curtains there is a door to go backstage. To the right of that door there are nine light switches. Those switches should all be up/on.
------
Ground/Floor R2 Spots Aren't On - There's a small power switch on the back of the base of those fixtures. Make sure it's switched on.
Press the release button above the host cuelist to release that cuelist.
Press play below the "Stage Wash" cuelist to wash the stage in a work light for the band.
If the display above the backstage TV is not showing this week's PCO Live, follow the steps below.
Find the small (cellphone sized) bluetooth keyboard with the trackpad in the middle. It should be on top of the cubbies by the outside door.
Turn that small keyboard on and use the trackpad to go "back" in the web-browser.
Navigate to today's service. (Think of that display as a mobile version of PCO.)
Click the "Live" button.
Turn the small keyboard off and put it back on top of the cubbies.
Turn on all of the lamps backstage and turn off the fluorescent overhead lights.
From your laptop or from one of the campus computers print 10 service orders for the production team.
A good idea is to label one copy for each of the team members and leave it at their position.
Leave the extras at the Service Director station so they can offer the extras to anyone who wants a copy during circle up.
