Experimentation Projects: In this type of project you'll come up with a question (What are you wondering about?) and answer it by testing your hypothesis. You will follow a prescribed set of steps called the scientific method.
Consumer Science: This type of project uses the scientific method to determine the differences between products.
Engineering: Solve a problem using the engineering design process! Share your design solution at the fair.
Demonstration Projects: Show how something from the world of engineering works or why something in nature happens as it does. Key word: show!
Observation/Collection Projects: This project allows you to find and then share a special collection from the world of nature. You can also make and record observations of natural phenomena you see in the world that can't very easily be put in a box,. (This includes things like observations of the moon, observations of animals, etc....)
Research/Informational: Is there a topic that really interests you that you'd like to share with others? With this type of project, you study a specific scientific topic (could be current events or trends) and report on it including charts, diagrams, and photos.
