Business, Marketing, and Careers Certificate

Earn College Credit
Please visit this site. Our department offers CLEP credit and Articulated College credit, depending on the course. For additional, step-by-step instructions, click here.
Articulated College Credit - BUY ONE, GET ONE Concept
Students who earned an 80% or better in our course with Ms. Allard this semester will earn articulated college credit. Because it is a confusing process, I want to explain it a bit more.
As teachers, we have already met with the teachers at the institutions listed and shown them our curriculum, syllabi, student work samples, etc. The college teachers then show us the same for their course. As long as we cover 80% of the content that the college teacher covers at the collegiate level, they award us the opportunity to give our high school students articulated college credit. This means our class automatically counts as having taken that class at that institution with the grade you earned while in class with me at the high school level. So, you have earned college credit AND you are saving money for future courses of study. Way to go! The coursework and your work have already been approved for the collegiate level.
Students signed up using CTE Credit MN with their HOME email (not school email - home email gives access post-graduation).
Find your course using this link to see what institutions it is articulated with.
Teacher awards credit at the end of the course on the CTE site if the student earned an 80% or better overall in the class.
After grades are submitted at the end of the semester, the STUDENT NEEDS TO LOG IN into CTE Credit MN and PRINT YOUR CERTIFICATE. Your teacher does not have access to this certificate.
Keep the certificate as proof of earning the college credit. If you attend one of the institutions listed on the certificate for additional coursework, the minute you take a 2nd class from that institution and receive a grade they will TRANSCRIPT your course that you took with me in addition to the grade you earned in your course with me. So, it's a two for one deal. You take, pass, and buy a second class with them (BUY ONE), and get the one from high school transcripted too for free (GET ONE). If you do NOT attend one of the institutions listed on the certificate for additional coursework, that is okay too. I have had MANY students go to other 4 year institutions and show the registrar the certificate, showing them the CTE Credit MN website, showing them Ms. Allard's course syllabus, and earning ELECTIVE CREDIT. It is one less class and more money that you do not have to pay.
CLEP Exam
The CLEP exam is optional. It is the equivalent of an AP Marketing exam.
