Do you work during the school year? Get ‘Work-Based Learning’ on your high school transcript and wow future employers and colleges! You must be concurrently enrolled in a careers course.
The Work-Based Learning program provides an opportunity for marketing students to work beside practitioners in the field. Students select areas of interest to pursue in the workplace setting. This may include: general marketing, sales force supervision, customer service, special events, visual merchandising, advertising, sales, promotion, distribution/supply chain management, etc.
Q: So, you pick the job for me?
No. You can work earning money and earn credit in your current job. A student secures a job in the field that he or she is interested in. The student can not only earn money but also earn school credit.
Q: Are there any other things I need to know about?
You must get a paycheck in which you pay taxes to be eligible.
The program is a privilege and not a right. A student must be in good academic standing in order to participate.
Transportation and chaperones are not provided for the work-based learning program.
Q: How do I sign up?
