Introduction to Students: (Teacher Read Aloud)
Across grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, each student continues to build their Academic & Career Plan.
These plans help students learn more about: Who Am I? Where Am I Going? How Will I Get There?
Once per month, we will participate in different activities that help our students develop their future path.
When evaluating future careers, it is important to look at careers that match our interests.
If a person works full-time, they spend 40 hours per week and 2,080 hours per year at work!
Spending all that time in a career you are not interested in could be challenging.
Think about how personal satisfaction and happiness relates to finding a career you are passionate about.
Let's Do It - Interest Profiler Survey
Today, students will explore careers related to interests by completing an Interest Profiler Survey.
This survey comes from the US Department of Labor and is a great resource for young adults.
Students can find this survey by going to:
Please take the next 5-10 minutes to complete the survey.

Notice their scores across the different Interest Profiles! Do these scores seem fitting for you as a student?
Now select Next to identify which Job Zone best represents what you are looking for in your future.
