Today's Focus: Career Clusters

• • Our goal at MHS is that each of you reach your full potential in becoming college and/or career ready.

  • Earlier this school year, Mr. Lehman discussed the MHS College And/or Career Readiness guide during homeroom.

  • Today, we are focusing in on Career Readiness.

  • A part of career readiness is identifying a career cluster of interest prior to graduating at MHS!

  • Career Clusters are groups of careers that share common themes or require similar skills.

  • All existing careers in our workforce fall into one of the 16 Career Clusters.

Let's Do It! Career Cluster Survey

• • Today, we will be completing a career cluster survey through a resource called Education Planner.

  • Please click Career Cluster Survey to access this online survey.

  • Select Start Now to begin this survey.

  • Four short sections of this survey include: Who You Are... What You Like... What Your Good At.... Your Best School Subjects

  • Please spend the next 5-10 minutes completing this survey.

Reviewing Your Results!

• • After students complete the survey, a results window will appear.

  • Career Clusters will be ordered/listed by best match, based on results from this survey.

  • While keeping your results window on the screen, click on a cluster by opening it in a new window.

  • You now will see a list of careers that fall under this cluster that might be worth exploring!

  • Spend some time searching these clusters, as well as careers under each cluster to learn more about opportunities for you!
