✨ Do not add these two documents to your Notebook Sources. These are guides intended for you!

✨ Use the Level 1 Data Notebook Set-up Guide as a checklist to create your Notebook, gather and add source documents, and organize your process to engage, export, and share.

✨ Use the Guide to AI-Supported Analysis of Level 1 Instructional Reports to understand the purpose and suggested use of the Notebook for analyzing Level 1 Data Reports. This guide also includes an in-depth Prompt Library to get you started with meaningful prompt engagement.

Required Steady Source Documents for AI Calibration

✨ These two documents need to be uploaded to your Notebook to calibrate the AI for your specific analysis goals.  

✨ Download the Gemini Notebook Directions, edit the red brackets to align with the subject(s) and grade level(s) of the Level 1 Reports for the Notebook in question, then upload as a source to the Notebook.

✨ Upload as a source the Explainer & Reference Guide, which contains the same information as the Level 1 Reference Guide, but adapted for better interpretation by the AI.

✨ NYS Portrait of a Graduate:

• If you are using the NYSED Portrait of a Graduate Attributes list with Gemini Notebook, feel free to use this adapted version in place of the original NYSED document. The original document may still work, but the adapted version has been formatted to be better absorbed by the AI, and therefore reduce hallucinations:

✨ Additional Optional Resources:

• You may also consider uploading applicable standards, although, if you have included the BLUE or GREEN Level 1 Reports, the evaluated standards are written out within those reports.

• You may find it helpful to upload class lists for ease of prompting about cohorts or groups by class.
