The Next Generation Network (NGN) is our improved network, capable of supporting today's and future technologies, while delivering better service in areas such as Mobile Apps and Data, Phone Services, Streaming Media, and Video Chat. OIT has now taken ownership of the new, Next Generation Network. Morgan received a national award from the Association for College & University Technology Advancement (ACUTA) for its NGN project.
TRACK-IT SELF-SERVICE IS NOW AVAILABLE!
TECH SUPPORT WHEN YOU NEED IT! You now have access to the Service Desk 24 hours a day, every day of the year! OIT makes it even easier for faculty and staff to request service, with Track-IT Self Service. Self-service will be available to student starting Fall 2017. Follow three easy steps, we'll handle the rest:
- Visit www.morgan.edu/servicedesk
- Log in with your Morgan user name and password
- Create and monitor your work orders

- Get Office 365: Get Microsoft Office in the cloud, visit www. Portal.Office.com and enter your MSU email to get it today. Office 365 may be installed on personal devices only.
- Record & Go Studio: Need to create a Panopto recording for a class assignment? Why not do it like a pro? The Record & Go Studio is here for you.
- Computer Labs Upgrade! OIT Computer Labs in Jenkins 215 & Holmes Hall G14 are now equipped with BEARcard readers. BEARcard is required in these computer labs!
BLACKBOARD COLLABORATE ULTRA
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is a virtual meeting room, now available in every Blackboard course and organization. Learn how to use Collaborate Ultra at our support site, or attend training webinar. You can register for the Collaborate webinars on our Academic Technology Services calendar.
RECORD & GO STUDIO
The Record & Go Studio, located in Richardson Library 206, is available for use by faculty, staff, and students. Record your presentations, training videos, guest interviews, and more. This studio is powered by Panopto and features professional level equipment.
CISO's CORNER

As many are aware, OIT has been busy improving the security of Morgan State University's technology; implementing mandatory security awareness training for faculty and staff, installing new firewalls and access controls as part of the Next Generation Network, and adding security to wireless with MSU-Secure. As this semester continues, our MSU community will see even more. When it comes to security, it seems everyone has questions and wants to do more. So, over the next few months, we will be updating the security website, participating in security information sessions, and providing specialized training to key personnel. Please stay tuned.
