Over the past two weeks, there have been several vandalisms of our school bathrooms. It is unknown when they happened, but both sets of reports seem to place them between 9:30 and 1:00. The vandalizer(s) are using permanent markers, both uncolored and colored. Almost every boys’ bathroom has been affected.
It is unclear who perpetrated the criminal acts, but as the events occurred in the boys’ bathrooms, we can most likely assume it was someone who uses the boy’s bathroom. The reason is more clear, but still unknown. Our best guess is that it is a cry for attention or perhaps a response to a TikTok challenge.
There are rewards offered by the school administration: whoever offers information that leads to the identification of the perpetrator gets a fifty-dollar gift card to any store.
Several students are looking to claim the reward and are searching for any information on who did it. We spoke with several of these bounty hunters, but they have as yet been unable to confirm the perpetrator.
Dane Roberts, director of Monticello Academy, has said, “We do have a couple of suspects right now… We have narrowed it down…” This was a result of these bounty hunters providing information.
However, since more pink marker marks have appeared in a new location, we can assume that they are still at large.
There is a video going around of a girl entering the boys’ bathroom, but it is unclear as to whether it's related to these events.

Mrs.Thomas loves the outdoors! If you go hiking, then you may have a chance to see her as that's what she does for fun. She also likes to garden.
Each year she wore a Mary Poppins suit and I asked her what will be for halloween this year. She said that she's wearing the same thing this year, and my face turned gloomy. But it's OK, because she will look good anyway, like every other year.
I asked her how long have you been to this school? She said that this was her first year. I was so happy because there was one more amazing person for this lovely school.
I also asked her what is your favorite subject? She said that her favorite subject was history. Nice.
I asked her what her favorite sport was. She said she doesn't play sports and I said OK. Then she told me that she used to be a ballet dancer. She probably killed it on the dance floor. But that was many decades ago. These days her favorite sport is lacrosse. She may not play it but she sure loves watching her son play.

Ms. Jenkins is the 7th and 8th grade history teacher. She has been here for almost 7 whole years! I can’t imagine being here that long, but I’m pretty sure I will in about 2 years.
She loves this school because of the curriculum we teach. I myself think her students love history almost as much as she does!
She loves the outdoors and making food for friends and family. I bet her family loves picnics with her. I can’t imagine how good her food is.
She doesn’t know what she's doing for Halloween, but I can bet it’s going to be great! I bet everyone will love it, too.
For Halloween last year, she hung out at her in-law’s house, ate candy and food. Sounds great, to me.

Look here, kids. Mr. Carver slaves away day and night in the education mines to produce a level of teaching that is, dare we say, mediocre at best.
And then on Thursday, after school hours, he is forced to write articles and do research and manage a website for this news website that nobody has ever heard of before today.
Carver, nearly dead from exhaustion.
YOU DID THIS TO HIM!
Look at him: Friendless. Helpless. HOPELESS! With a staff of two helping him, he can barely survive on the three minutes of sleep that he almost never gets.
However… you can do something about it. Maybe. If you have the time.
Yes, you can bring the light back to his eyes if you either: A) Join journalism club or B) Convince someone else to join the journalism club. All you have to do is either email (or have them email) him at joshua.carver@monticelloacademy.net.
You can also email him anything you want to see investigated around this school. Moldy food? Sussy teachers? Give him all you got and he’ll put his entire staff of two people on it. Or maybe three… if you join, too?
