Enrolling in PSEO involves several steps at both the high school and college levels. Navigating these steps independently is an important indicator of readiness for college-level coursework. While families and school staff can provide guidance, students are expected to take the lead in completing each step.
To support this process, two planning checklists are provided below:
New PSEO Students
Returning PSEO Students
Use the appropriate PSEO Enrollment Steps Checklist to track deadlines, required forms, and next steps. These checklists are planning tools only and do not need to be submitted. They are designed to be used alongside the information on our PSEO website.
Note: The order of some steps may vary depending on your chosen college’s policies and timelines. If you have questions or need support, contact your school counselor.
These details provide additional guidance for students and families who want more support understanding the PSEO process. Steps may vary slightly depending on each college’s policies. In particular, steps 2–5 may happen in a different order depending on how each institution processes applications, advises students, and enrolls them in courses.
State Deadline: All high school PSEO forms must be submitted by May 30 to participate in PSEO during the following fall term.
Additional notes:
Colleges may have earlier or later deadlines, but high school staff cannot process forms after May 30.
If the May 30 deadline is missed, students may still be able to enroll for spring term. Meet with your counselor to explore this option
All students must submit the MHS PSEO Notification Form using their school email account. (This cannot be completed by a parent or external email.)
First-time (New) PSEO Students only:
After the student form is submitted, a parent/guardian must also complete the Parent Verification Form using an email that matches the contact information in Infinite Campus.
Important Notes:
School staff cannot provide or sign PSEO forms—including the NOSR—until both the student form and (if required) the parent/guardian form have been submitted.
The MHS PSEO Notification Form is required every year.
The NOSR verifies that a student is eligible to enroll in PSEO.
Returning students receive their NOSR within 7 school days after submitting the student form.
New PSEO students receive their NOSR within 7 school days after both the student and parent forms are complete.
Some colleges require the NOSR before students apply; others collect it only after acceptance.
Students must send the NOSR to the college themselves.
Students must complete the college’s PSEO application directly with the institution.
If help is needed, contact the college’s PSEO advisor—not the high school.
Note: Each college has its own eligibility criteria, application timeline, and required materials. Contact your university to understand your application status.
Colleges require transcripts as part of the PSEO application:
If the college accepts an unofficial transcript, families may download one from Infinite Campus.
If the college requires an official transcript, it must be ordered through Parchment (MHS cannot send official transcripts directly to colleges).
A 1:1 PSEO advising session is most helpful after a student has been accepted to a college and knows their orientation and registration dates. Families are welcome to attend.
Scheduling at least two weeks in advance provides the best availability.

Students must follow the college’s required steps for orientation, placement testing, and enrollment.
High school counselors cannot help with school-specific registration systems. Use:
Your Credit Summary
The PSEO Course Equivalency Guide
to select classes that meet MHS graduation requirements.
Once your classes are registered, send your counselor a copy of your official PSEO schedule before the term begins.
Part-time PSEO students should also contact their counselor in August to coordinate MHS course scheduling.
When PSEO courses are completed, students must send an unofficial transcript to their MHS counselor.
This ensures credits are added to the MHS transcript.
Once you are officially enrolled in PSEO, there are ongoing responsibilities to ensure you stay on track, maintain eligibility, and successfully complete your college and high school requirements.
Once your college schedule is confirmed, send a copy to your counselor. If you’re also taking classes at MHS, they’ll help ensure your high school schedule aligns with your PSEO courses.
It’s easy to feel disconnected from the high school while taking college courses. Stay informed by checking your MHS email and Schoology for announcements, deadlines, and updates—especially during senior year.
If you’re unsure you can pass or complete a class, don’t wait. PSEO courses dropped more than two weeks after the term begins appear as an “F” on your MHS transcript, even if the college records it as a “W.” Contact your high school counselor and your college PSEO advisor immediately.
At the end of each term, once grades are posted, send your final transcript or grade report to your counselor so credits can be added to your high school record.
PSEO students must follow their college’s registration process and timeline for each term. Most colleges require an updated Notice of Student Registration (NOSR) before you can register for the next term’s courses. It is your responsibility to contact the MHS PSEO coordinator to obtain an updated NOSR.
To continue as a PSEO student, you must remain in good standing academically at both the high school and college levels. Falling below eligibility standards at either institution may affect your ability to register for future PSEO courses.
