Study Hall Rules

Miss Arvidson, Room 103

 1. Be in your seat when the bell rings so that attendance can be taken.  You have an assigned seat and must sit there each day.  You will receive a tardy if you are not in the classroom when the bell rings.  Three tardies per quarter equals detention.

 2. This is a place for quiet study from bell to bell.  Unless you have my permission, you are not to communicate verbally or non-verbally.

3. You must bring your study materials daily, including paper, pen, and pencil.  If you have no work, have a book to read.  No comic books, catalogs, or inappropriate magazines will be allowed.

4. You must sign out/in of study hall.  Please wait until I call for sign-outs, at the beginning of the hour.  Otherwise, you may approach my desk anytime throughout the hour.

 5. To work together, a pre-signed pass is needed from the teacher who assigned the group work.  If needed, I will phone the teacher to verify the pass.

6.  Any student wishing to work in another teacher’s classroom must have a pre-signed pass from the receiving teacher.  This includes work that needs to be done in the computer lab or library.

7.  If studying can be done in the room, you will not be granted permission to get it done in the library or in the hallway.

8.  Only two people will be permitted to leave study hall at any one time to go to the restroom (unless an emergency) or locker.

 9.  No passes will be given during the last five minutes of study hall unless you have my permission.

10.  Violating the Technology Acceptable Use Policy could result in a consequence such as a discipline referral or a detention.  Please do not use your Chromebook for anything other than class assignments.
