Bell Gardens High School Staff is getting ready for next week's College and Career Readiness Day. While the 9th-11th graders are taking practice ACT exams, seniors will be getting information on financial aid, creating their financial aid accounts (Free Application for Student Aid or California Dream Act Application), engaging in career exploration activities, and working on their college/university applications.
Students need to bring the following to school on Wed., Oct. 22, 2025:
1. Copy of their high school transcript. Students will be asked several questions related to items found on this document.
2. Their social security number to create their FAFSA account. In the past students have taken a picture of their card or number, written it on a piece of paper, put it in their phones as a "telephone number", or have memorized it. It is important that students keep this information in a secure location and do not share the number with other students.
3. Personal email address that will be used solely for college and career related tasks.
4. A charged Chromebook.
If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Larios at: larios_susana@montebello.k12.ca.us or via phone at (323)887-7900 ext. 4047.
Thank you for your support in helping students transition from high school to life after high school!
