The Online Intercultural Exchange (OIE) Research Cluster is a group of academics in the School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics that researches the role of virtual exchange in shaping higher education policies, practices and discourses.
The cluster undertakes research to evaluate the impact of virtual exchange in enabling students to develop professional and global capabilities.
The cluster is founded on a stronger nexus between education and research. The findings of our research is further amplified by developing educational resources to support vitual exchange pedagogies and practices.
The cluster operates as a community of practice to support other educators interested in developing their capabilities to implement virtual exchange.
