Electives

Being successful in Biomedical Science isn't just about learning the science - you'll do that through your core units.

In your first year, you can choose two (2) electives, one (1) for each semester. 

Your elective units give you the opportunity to:

• pursue something you're interested in,

• broaden your horizons and interests,

• meet, discuss and learn with students from outside biomedical science,

• explore and challenge your perspective and way of thinking and

• further develop or build your the skills and experiences

Together, the experiences you get from your electives will build your employability for your future careers.

We know! It's a hard choice. There are so many options to choose from. Our advice???

Remember, there is not right or wrong elective to choose.

• Pick a unit that sounds interesting to you - you're more likely to do better in a unit if you're interested in the content!

• Electives are a great way for exploring other areas. Your undergraduate studies is a great time to explore and try other units out!

• Good opportunity to work with other students outside of biomedical science

• Builds skills in interdisciplinary teamwork, communication and professionalism, current affairs and bigger picture perspective.
