Core Units

In your first year, you'll have three (3) core units each semester.  

Core units are compulsory subjects that you have to do. They're designed to be done together (within the semester) and build on each other (from semester to semester).

Your first year core units are:

Semester 1

• BMS1011 Biomedical chemistry

• BMS1021 Cells, tissues and organisms

• BMS1031 Medical biophysics

Semester 2

• BMS1042 Public Health and Preventative Medicine

• BMS1052 Human neurobiology

• BMS1062 Molecular biology
