Alexis is consistent in creating well crafted and thoughtful artwork. Her character and work ethic is exemplary, time and again. Alexis is a leader in the classroom. She is knowledgeable about art, kind and helpful to her fellow classmates and offers her support when needed. Alexis is confident, and takes on each of her assignments with the focus and intent of doing her absolute best. She demonstrates these positive attributes and deserves recognition for her accomplishments.

Abi has been a star this year! She has been conscientious and hard-working every day throughout the school year, always bringing her best to English class. She has been engaged and has worked diligently and reliably during every class.

Vail is one of the most hard working students we have ever met. She exhibits determination and perseverance in every assignment that is given to her in Child Psychology 1. Vail has shown up to every class ready and eager to learn. The positive attitude Vail brings to the classroom is apparent which can be a difficult achievement, especially for a student who is learning remotely. Overall, Vail is a delight to work with and a great role model for her fellow classmates.

CJ has consistently been well prepared and an active participant in Stats this year. He has been able to solve for applications of the course material to his personal interests and has taken this learning beyond the classroom. CJ has not missed a class, online or in person, he is always engaged and ready to work.

Sydney Carota

Music

Sydney is a sophomore member of the band where she plays percussion. Sydney's participation and achievement in the band this past month has been impressive and strong. She consistently strives to improve her percussion skills. She plays several different percussion instruments which makes her well-rounded. She is very reliable in rehearsals and attends her lessons regularly. She also enjoys coming to the band room to practice on her own between the rehearsals and lessons. Sydney is a friendly and caring person and is kind to her peers and to her teachers. For these reasons, I have selected her as the Music Department Student of the Month.

Science

Michael has been a wonderful leader in AP physics this year. He is diligent about having work done for class, constantly asks questions to further his understanding, goes above and beyond to help his peers, and is always willing to jump into a meet on his in person days to connect with those at home who need to be live streamed into the class activity. He does a great job at ensuring anyone he is working with is included in the group. Michael makes each class brighter; bringing a positive attitude and spirit to class.

Yuliano Camarena

Social Studies

Yuliano has done an amazing job in Global this year. He is a student who really gets engaged in the material that we are covering. He is always going above and beyond with his assignments, he sends comments about how he feels and he talks in class. Even though he is a remote learner I can always count on him to offer his opinions and reactions to what we are covering this year. I feel like I have missed a great opportunity to see Yuliano in class every day like a normal year but he has done such a nice job of communicating with me and the class, it’s like he is there in the room with you.

Kyle is a responsible ad courteous young adult that consistently does superior work in both of his current technology courses. In addition, he is punctual and thorough with his assignments and continues to have a genuine interest in the field of technology and engineering.

Work-Based Learning

Genesis is a 12th grader with excellent customer service skills. In the Work Based Learning program, Genesis completes her tasks independently. Genesis currently has an internship with the Coffee Cart. Everyday Genesis makes and sells quality coffee and tea to staff. We are super proud of you Genesis!

Ella Scorzafava

World Languages

Ella recently returned to the classroom after being Virtual for Quarters 1-3. She has always participated and kept up with her work in French. She has proven that she can do well with both virtual or in person learning. She has always maintained a positive and cheerful attitude and has been a pleasure to have in class.
