Paying with Edusave (Singapore Citizens)
Students who are Singapore citizens can use their Edusave to pay fully or partly for the PLD, after setting aside provision for payment of miscellaneous fees. Parents/Guardians can also choose to pay cash for the PLD. MOE has provided Edusave top-ups from 2020 to 2023 to all eligible Singaporean students in primary and secondary schools. In 2025, MOE provided a $500 Edusave top-up for students aged 13-16 years old. This is on top of the annual Edusave contribution of $290 for secondary school students and $230 for primary school students.
Please note that GIRO deduction would take place where there are insufficient funds in Edusave account or if your child/ward does not have an Edusave account. If you are not on GIRO, payment may be made through AXS kiosks/e-station/m-station or by cash/cheque at the General Office.
To check the amount available in your child’s/ward’s Edusave account, please contact the Edusave hotline 62600777.
Funding Support for Singapore Citizens
For students on MOE-FAS, subsidies are available even if there is insufficient Edusave balance. The cash out-of-pocket will be $0. Please note that it is compulsory for all students on MOE-FAS to use their Edusave to pay for the device bundle, after subsidies have been granted.
Non MOE-FAS students whose Gross Household Income (GHI) is below $4,000 or Per Capita Income (PCI)# is below $1000 may apply for the Opportunity Fund subsidy. Application can be done with the General Office.
#PCI is GHI divided by the number of household members.
Funding Support for non-Singapore Citizens
Permanent residents (PR) and international students (IS) who need support could apply for subsidies, particularly those whose Gross Household Income (GHI) is below $4000 or Per Capita Income (PCI) is below $1000.
