National Digital Literacy Programme (NDLP)

At MOE’s Committee of Supply Debate in March 2020, MOE launched the National Digital Literacy Programme (NDLP) for our schools and Institutes of Higher Learning to help students strengthen their digital literacy. Throughout their educational journey, students will be able to acquire digital skills across four components in the “Find, Think, Apply, Create” framework. Watch former Minister for Education, Ong Ye Kung, explain these four components.

Digital Literacy Skills to be acquired based on the "Find-Think-Apply-Create" framework

Personal Learning Device (PLD)

Through the NDLP, all secondary school students will own a school-prescribed personal learning device (PLD) by the end of 2021. The PLD will be used in tandem with the Singapore Student Learning Space (SLS), as well as other educational technology tools, to create a student-centric teaching and learning environment.

The use of the PLD for teaching and learning aims to:

Support the development of digital literacies

Support self-directed and collaborative learning

Enhance teaching and learning

The following videos by MOE will tell you more about the experiences of our students and teachers from various schools who have been on the PLD journey.
