D&T STEM INSTRUCTORS
The team improved safety and accountability during practical lessons by replacing open tool storage with a lockable trolley system, customised slot boxes for sharp tools, and a slotting system for Science Lab equipment. These innovations reduced risks of misuse, loss, and unsafe handling while improving organisation and tracking. The team also supported school safety and sustainability by fabricating a protective cover for the staffroom air-conditioning control panel and movable window covers for privacy and lock-down readiness. Their efforts created a safer, more efficient learning environment, strengthened school processes, and received positive recognition during an external safety audit as a good practice worth replicating.
OPERATIONS TEAM
In 2025, the OPS Team introduced three key innovations to enhance school efficiency, safety, and maintenance processes. These included a WhatsApp-based holiday checklist with visual and audio support for Office Support Officers with limited English proficiency, a reorganised storeroom system to improve retrieval efficiency and reduce physical effort, and a durable tamper-proof toilet door securing system to enhance student safety. Together, these initiatives streamlined communication, strengthened daily operations, reduced risks of oversight and misuse, and created a safer, more organised, and more conducive environment for both students and staff across the school.
EXAMS & KNOWLEDGE & INFORMATION MANAGEMENT TEAM (EKIM)
The team introduced a data-driven system to monitor student attendance, punctuality and behaviour trends, enabling earlier, more targeted interventions and stronger collaboration among teachers and support teams. By consolidating late-coming, absence, behaviour and HSP records, the school shifted from reactive case management to proactive, evidence-based support. Early data showed a reduction in incidents, reflecting positive behavioural improvement across the school. The team also improved post-examination processes by coordinating common script-checking schedules and adjusting examination timelines to create dedicated curriculum time for re-teaching and remediation. These innovations enhanced pastoral care, strengthened students’ ownership of learning, and improved school efficiency.
