Rolled out 2 lockable tool trolleys with compartments designed by the team to fit the various tools required for the curriculum. Each trolley comes with 4-5 drawers with tools placed in secured compartments for accountability and safety. During lessons, teachers will unlock the trolley’s number lock for the use of tools and lock back after each lesson. At any point in time if one drawer is pulled out for use of tools, all other drawers are auto disabled for use. This ensures that the teacher can focus on managing drawer by drawer for use of tools, again adding to the safety and accountability of tools in the workshops.
The sick bay route for students has been reworked for better control to safeguard the confidentiality of work and documents within the General Office and HOD Room. Students will now register at the reception counter to go to the sick bay via the side door near the HOD room pantry. Walkie-talkies parked within the sick bay and reception will enable students requiring further assistance to call out to the office staff and vice-versa - for times when the sick student is resting and office staff not due to check on them yet.
The Student Work Attachment Programme expanded from 13 students in 2022 to 39 students in 2024 across a greater variety of industries for student work attachment opportunities. The programme fosters workplace skills like time management and self-presentation which students experience through short work stints so as to enable application of learning beyond school.
As part of the school’s 25th anniversary celebrations, the school’s history was conceptualized through a Heritage Trail and Gallery to depict the history and milestone moments through murals, artefacts, exhibits and archived records.
Rolled out two key 25th-anniversary events:
Cross-Country @ OCBC Arena involving staff, students, and stakeholders like the School Advisory Committee (SAC), parents and alumni. The event was a prelude to the Speech Day Concert. The Speech Day Concert with the unveiling of the Time Capsule by past and present school leaders was a key milestone in the school’s history.
