For this project, students embarked on a culinary quest to discover the authentic ethnic cuisines found in Singapore. They researched on the various local ingredients such as herbs and spices that are used to flavour our ethnic dishes. Students learnt the cultures of different ethnic groups and presented to their classmates. This project encouraged them to appreciate the diverse and unique cultures of Singapore.
Handmade Noodles
This pair of students visited a Chinese handmade noodle restaurant and requested permission to record how handmade noodles are made.
This group learnt about the unique and favourite local dish lovingly cooked and served by her grandmother. This enabled her to appreciate her grandmother's cooking and now knows why its a family favourite dish! *Nyai in Javanese means 'Grandmother'. :)
