In 2023, our two dance groups merged to form Swiss Modern Dance, marking the beginning of a new chapter that embraces creativity, inclusivity, and artistic growth. As a unified group, we now focus on hip hop, a dynamic genre that allows our dancers to express energy, confidence, and individuality through movement.

This year, Swiss Modern Dance proudly represented the school at the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) 2025 under the International Dance category, attaining the Certificate of Distinction. This remarkable achievement reflects our dancers’ dedication, discipline, and passion for their craft.

Beyond competitions, our dancers also contribute to school celebrations such as the Chinese New Year and Hari Raya concerts, showcasing vibrant hip hop performances that highlight both their skill and spirit.

We also place great importance on building camaraderie and teamwork among our members. Through bonding sessions such as our annual CCA camp and Passing Out Parade, dancers come together to celebrate milestones, reflect on shared experiences, and strengthen friendships. These activities not only deepen their sense of belonging but also foster leadership and unity within the team.

In addition, we continue to nurture empathy and community spirit through our Values in Action (VIA) projects. In 2025, our dancers partnered with Sparkletots preschool, engaging children through fun, dance-based activities. This meaningful experience allowed our members to share the joy of dance while learning the values of patience, teamwork, and service.
