Welcome, Secondary 1 students of 2026
As part of your Sec 1 Orientation journey during the first week of school, you will go through a day of CCA Orientation, for you to get to know the different CCAs that Swiss Cottage has to offer. You may refer to the Our CCAs tab to find out more about the different CCAs that the school offer.
CCA Orientation will take place on 8th January 2026.
The timeline of the for CCA Recruitment for Secondary 1 students is as follows:
For Sec 1 DSA Students (via CCA) : There will be a briefing for the students in the morning by HOD PE/CCA in GP Room 1 in the school library, after which they will be joining their CCAs for training / await further instructions from their CCA teachers
CCA Allocation during CCA Selection Exercise is based on student interest/choice + teacher assessment + CCA vacancies. Students who show stronger aptitude during trials will have priority if a CCA is oversubscribed.
Students are thus encouraged to go for as many trials as possible.
Once students have been allocated a CCA, they would be expected to stay in the CCA to learn and contribute to the school and community meaningfully for their secondary school experience. We do not encourage changing CCA as students would not be able to deepen their skills learnt in the CCA and form stronger friendship bonds amongst peers in the CCA.
For CCA Trials that will be taking place in Week 2-5, please refer to the following schedule :
