CYBER-SECURITY NOTE:
All e-mails sent by the SSEF Organising Team, including automated e-mails, will originate from official MOE domains (@moe.gov.sg , @moe.edu.sg), the Science Centre Singapore domain (@science.edu.sg) or Singapore government domains (ending in ".gov.sg").
All personal information of students will be collected securely through FormSG (https://form.gov.sg/).
For SSEF 2027, we do not use any other platforms hosted on non-government servers and domains, and none of the platforms used require passwords or log-ins.
Students are required to use their official MOE or school e-mail addresses (e.g. @students.edu.sg or other school domains) for SSEF.
Please be alert for any suspicious or 'phishing' e-mails asking for passwords or account information. Students in doubt may check with teachers, who may in turn check with the SSEF Team.
Project Title Update Form (https://go.gov.sg/ssef-project-title-update)
Project Category Update Form (https://go.gov.sg/ssef-project-category-update).
Project Withdrawal Form (https://go.gov.sg/ssef-project-withdrawal)
Please see section below for information.
For students:
Project Status (for Students): https://go.gov.sg/ssef-project-status
For Teacher Coordinators only
Entry Form Endorsement Status: https://go.gov.sg/ssef-entry-form-endorsement-status
Project Status (for Teachers): https://go.gov.sg/ssef-project-status-teachers
Note: The Teacher Coordinator has to endorse the Entry Form before the Project Code is allocated to the project. As the Project Code is needed for the submission of the Project Report, we recommend that students submit the Entry Form early. (This can be done as early as November, as long as the team composition is decided.) This will give teachers sufficient time to endorse the Entry Form, and gives students sufficient time to prepare their project report.
Step 1: Submission of SSEF Entry Form by Students (via FormSG @ https://go.gov.sg/ssef-entry-form)
Please ensure that all details are entered correctly, especially for personal details for team members. The team composition should be fixed at this point.
Please choose your project category accurately as this will directly affect the allocation of judges to your project. The Project Title and Project Categories / Sub-categories can be updated subsequently (see section below), although a change of category may affect the project code.
The completed form will be routed to the school's registered Teacher Coordinator(s) by FormSG. For team projects, only the teacher coordinator(s) of the team leader ("Student 1") will be notified.
Students can check the "Project Status (for Students)" page for updates from this point onwards, using their School and Project Title.
Teacher Coordinators may check the "Entry Form Endorsement Status" page to see if there are forms belonging to your school that are yet to be endorsed.
Step 2: Endorsement of SSEF Entry Form by Teacher Coordinator (via FormSG automated e-mail).
We seek teacher coordinators' assistance to check through the submission. Teacher coordinators may correct mistakes (if any) in the form before submission.
The teacher(s) who are indicated in the endorsement section will be tagged to the project for the whole duration of the competition, and will receive all notifications regarding the project. The teacher(s) tagged to the project can be any teacher (e.g. teacher mentor), and need not be the main Teacher Coordinator for the school.
After the entry form is endorsed by the Teacher Coordinator, two automated e-mails will be sent:
FormSG E-mail to "Student 1" to inform that the Teacher Coordinator has approved (or not approved) the form.
E-mail to student(s) and tagged teacher(s) to confirm that the project has been registered. The e-mail will also contain the Project Code (e.g. "AS001"). Please retain this e-mail for your records.
Students can check the "Project Status (for Students)" page using the Project Code from this point onwards.
Teacher Coordinators may check the "Project Status (for Teachers)" page using the Project Code once the project has been endorsed.
Step 3: Submission of Project Report (via FormSG @ https://go.gov.sg/ssef-project-report-submission)
The Project Report can be submitted any time after endorsement by Teacher Coordinator.
The Project Report should be submitted by 13 Jan 2027 (Wed), 5pm. This deadline will be strictly adhered to and the FormSG will be closed automatically.
Please refer to Project Report Guidelines for the requirements for the Project Report document.
After each successful submission, an automated e-mail will be sent to student(s) and teacher coordinator(s) to confirm the submission.
For unsuccessful submissions, an automated e-mail will be sent to the person filling out the form.
Repeated submissions can be made any time before the submission deadline, and the last successfully submitted project report will be used. With every successful submission, the previously submitted file will be deleted automatically.
Step 4: Checking of Project Report and Re-submission of Project Reports (from 14 Jan 2027)
The project reports submitted will be checked. Students and teachers will be notified by e-mail on the outcome of the checks.
Reports with issues will be flagged and an automated e-mail will be sent to students and teachers with details of the issues, and further instructions.
Reports that have been flagged can be resubmitted once, via the FormSG that will be provided in the automated e-mail.
Please resubmit the report as soon as possible. The report must be cleared by 18 Jan 2027 (Mon) 5pm. An early re-submission would allow the team to re-check your submission before the deadline, and inform you if there are any issues yet to be rectified.
If project reports have unrectified issues after the cut-off date, the project will be automatically withdrawn from the competition.
After the submission of the SSEF Entry Form, some projects may require minor adjustments.
These changes can be made by submitting a form on FormSG.
All FormSG submissions must be made by Student 1 only. Student 1 must use the same e-mail used in the Entry Form.
Automated e-mails will inform students and teachers if changes are successful.
The Project Status pages will also be updated, where relevant.
These forms will only be accessible during the registration / submission period. No further changes will be possible once the registration / submission period is over.
Project Title Update (via FormSG @ https://go.gov.sg/ssef-project-title-update)
Project Category Update (via FormSG @ https://go.gov.sg/ssef-project-category-update).
This form allows change of project category and/or sub-category.
If there is a change of project category, a new project code will be automatically assigned and the previous project code will be automatically nullified. The Project Report needs to reflect the most updated project code. Hence, even if a project report had been previously submitted, a new project report with a new project code needs to be submitted.
Project Withdrawal (via FormSG @ https://go.gov.sg/ssef-project-withdrawal)
This form allows a project to be withdrawn.
If successful, the entire project and any project report submissions will be automatically nullified.
Project withdrawal is permanent and irreversible.
SSEF Enquiry Form (via FormSG @ https://go.gov.sg/ssef-enquiry-form)
Please submit your request for assistance here and provide as many details as possible regarding the technical issues you encountered.
We will endeavour to respond to you as soon as possible.
The submission system for 2027 is intended to be more flexible for teacher coordinators. If there are many projects submitted by the school, the teachers can decide on how to monitor the students' submissions.
There are two points in the system where Teacher Coordinators need to be identified. These are independent of each other.
(1) For endorsement of SSEF Entry Forms submitted by students from your school:
The e-mail addresses were specified at the point of school registration and have been uploaded into FormSG.
When any student from your school submits an Entry Form, all TCs that were specified will receive the automated email to endorse the Entry Form.
Any TC can access the automated email and endorse the Entry Form. Only one TC needs to do so.
Please contact SSEF team if you wish to change the e-mails tagged.
(2) Teachers to be tagged to individual projects
During endorsement, at least one (and up to two) teachers can be specified and these will be tagged to the project.
The teacher endorsing the Entry Form can key in the details of any teacher who should be tagged to that project. (The teacher endorsing the Entry Form need not be the teacher tagged to the project.)
Only the two "tagged" teachers will be cc-ed in project-specific emails when they are sent out.
The two teachers tagged to the project can include the Main Teacher Coordinator for the school, but this need not be the case.
The Main Teacher Coordinator can access the "Status" pages to monitor the overall submission situation for the school, even if he/she is not tagged to the individual projects.
Example:
School X has Main Teacher Coordinator (Teacher A), Teacher B, Teacher C and Teacher D.
School X indicated Teachers A, B and C for Entry Form Endorsement.
When a student from School X submits the Entry Form on FormSG, the e-mails are automatically sent to Teacher A, Teacher B and Teacher C by FormSG. Teacher D will not receive any email from FormSG. All of these permutations are possible (non-exhaustive):
Teacher A endorses the form, and tags Teacher A only. Subsequently, only Teacher A will be cc-ed in the project-specific emails.
Teacher A endorses the form, and tags Teacher D only. Subsequently, only Teacher D will be cc-ed in the project-specific emails.
Teacher A endorses the form, and tags Teacher A and B. Subsequently, only Teacher A and B are cc-ed in the project-specific emails.
Teacher A endorses the form, and tags Teacher A and D. Subsequently, only Teacher A and D are cc-ed in the project-specific emails.
Teacher B endorses the form, and tags Teacher C and D. Subsequently, only Teacher C and D are cc-ed in the project-specific emails.
Teacher C endorses the form, and tags Teacher A and B. Subsequently, only Teacher A and B are cc-ed in the project-specific emails.
