The most common poster is A0 size (841 mm width x 1189 mm height, in portrait orientation). An example is shown below.
Starting from SSEF 2026, the poster used for final judging can be mounted on a cardboard trifold board. If a trifold board is used instead of an A0 poster, the trifold board should fit within the project booth. The suggested dimensions of the trifold board is 36 inch (90 cm) height x 48 inch (120 cm) width. Header boards are optional. If used, header boards should only contain basic information (i.e. project title, student name(s))
The trifold board is similar to that used for ISEF.

Dimensions of the Project Booth setup for SSEF 2026. Note that for personal safety, student finalists should NOT stand on the "table" surface as it is not designed to be weight-bearing.
The trifold board should be free-standing when used for the poster presentation.
Content should be placed only on the front of the trifold board.
There is no standard layout for poster content. Students can choose how they wish to lay out the content on the trifold board. (Do note that content that is placed near the 'folds' of the trifold board may be less visible.)
Students can choose to use some of the board, or all of the board, to place their poster material. There is no need for the content to fill up all of the board.
Poster content should not exceed the area of the trifold board. There should not be any items extending out from the edges of the trifold board.
Students can attach their poster content using any suitable adhesive method (e.g. glue, double-sided sticky tape).
Students are discouraged from trimming the trifold board, as trimming may affect its stability.
Note: Poster content should be clearly presented (i.e. typeset in a legible font), but it is not necessary for posters to be professionally printed, nor does it have to be custom-printed to the exact dimensions of the trifold board.
Students / schools can keep the trifold boards after the SSEF Public Day. (Unclaimed posters/trifold boards will be disposed of.)
More information about the display and safety checks will be provided at the Student Finalists' Briefing.
