These dates are indicative and may be subject to minor adjustments.
Teacher Coordinators may register via the FormSG link sent by the SSEF Team.
The briefing details will be sent to the email addresses indicated in the submission of the registration form above.
Note: The Teacher Coordinator has to endorse the Entry Form before the Project Code is allocated to the project. As the Project Code is needed for the submission of the Project Report, we recommend that students submit the Entry Form early, to give their teachers sufficient time to endorse the entry form, and to give themselves sufficient time to prepare their project report.
More detailed information on the project submission process will be released here after the briefing to Teacher Coordinators. Only the outline of the process is shown here.
Step 1: Submission of Entry Form by Students (via FormSG)
Please ensure that all details are entered correctly. In general, requests to modify project details (including changes to project title, category, team composition, etc.) will not be entertained once the submission is endorsed by your teacher and is submitted to us. Any changes will require a fresh submission of the FormSG.
The completed form will be routed to the school's registered Teacher Coordinators by FormSG. (For team projects, only the teacher coordinator of the team leader will be notified.)
Step 2: Endorsement of Entry Form by Teacher Coordinator (via FormSG).
After the entry form is endorsed by the Teacher Coordinator, an automated e-mail will be sent to student(s) and teacher coordinator(s). Please retain this e-mail for your records. The e-mail will contain the following:
Project Code allocated to the project (e.g. "AS001")
the Submission ID (a unique identifier for the project), and
a customised URL for the submission of the Project Report.
Step 3: Submission of Project Report (via FormSG)
The Project Report should be submitted by 13 Jan 2027 (Wed), 5pm. This deadline will be strictly adhered to.
Step 4: Checking of Project Report
The project reports submitted will be checked. Students and teachers will be notified by e-mail on the outcome of the checks.
Reports with issues will be flagged and an e-mail will be sent to students and teachers with details of the issues, and further instructions on how to rectify the issue.
If project reports have unrectified issues after the cut-off date, the project will be automatically withdrawn from the competition.
Teacher Coordinators will receive an e-mail containing:
results of the preliminary judging;
remarks provided by the judges for preliminary judging;
details of the Student Finalist Briefing; and
a link to register student finalists for the Finalist Project Consultations.
Detailed administrative instructions about the SSEF will be provided to student finalists.
Project teams which require additional support can book a slot through their Teacher Coordinator on a first-come-first-served basis.
These consultations are intended to support teams without external support (e.g. project mentor from research institute).
All SSEF finalists are required to submit ISEF forms. Please submit these forms to your respective school Teacher Coordinators according to your schools' internal timelines.
Projects that do not meet ISEF requirements, or do not have the full ISEF paperwork, will not be selected for ISEF.
Please see this page for more details: ISEF Forms.
