AIM:
Through their participation in DOTS Mathematics, selected students will have the opportunity to experience programmes that would nurture their passion through experiential learning and equip them with critical thinking skills.

this workshop will cover geometry concepts such as symmetry, polygons, polyhedras & Euler’s formula
students will make their own 3D modular origami models

this is a 1-hour online competition where participants attempt 40 MCQs
requires basic computation skills (no calculator allowed) and strategy

Singapore Mathematical Society (SMS) Essay Competition:
this competition exposes students to various topics that are related to mathematics, eg history, applications or other aspects of mathematics.
encourage articulation of mathematics through the exposition on these subjects.

Peer tutoring for weaker students:
students will use their passion, skills and knowledge in mathematics to provide support to their juniors who need help with the subject
students should be able to teach concepts to their juniors and be able to manage their time and commitments

this competition promotes the teaching of mathematical modelling and applications in realistic contexts
it involves higher-order problem-solving skills and collaboration

NUS Statistics Poster Competition 2024
The objective of the competition is to expose young people to concepts and methods used in statistics and data science.
Students are free to choose a topic of their interest and they are free to choose a data set related to that topic. They are also free to formulate the specific questions they would like to answer with that data set.

Mathematics Trail at Gardens by the Bay + Developing a Virtual Trail for Sec 1 Juniors:
students use their passion, skills and knowledge in mathematics to solve problems in real-world contexts.
with the experience of the hands on trail, students will now plan a Mathematics/Science Virtual Trail to be held at SMSS for their Sec 1 juniors during EOY post exam period.
