“Learning comes alive when students are involved in hands-on, experiential learning, which allows them to situate and apply their knowledge and skills in real-world contexts” (MOE Press Release, 5 March 2018). Integrated STEM tasks can provide a possible approach to make “learning comes alive” and can potentially nurture the joy of learning in our learners. But how do we design such tasks? Also, it remains unclear whether such integrated approaches can really result in significant learning in STEM disciplines. How can we promote learning in STEM disciplines? In this talk, I will share some experiences I had with integrated STEM to highlight how we can make learning comes alive in our daily classrooms.
An expo where local and international educators and other STEM education-related organisations gather to showcase and share their unique applied STEM pedagogical approaches in their respective countries and community to increase the interest and joy of STEM learning.
