Combined Staff Learning Festival 2022 

The Combined Staff Learning Festival 2022 is the first collaborative professional development event between North View Primary School and Sembawang Primary School.

Over the years, each school had been carrying out their own learning festival, as a celebration of learning for teachers at the end of the year. In 2022, having embarked on different learning experiences under the SkillsFuture for Education (SFEd) initiative, teachers from both schools were able to find common focus and interest in the areas of Differentiated Instruction (DI) and Inquiry-based Learning (IBL). 

Hence, the idea of a combined learning festival was mooted, to expand on the exchange of ideas and deepen professional learning by allowing teachers to interact beyond familiar colleagues to colleagues in the cluster and to hear from international expertise.

The Combined Staff Learning Festival 2022 aims to support teachers’ continual professional development by:

• • Providing a platform for teachers to share their learning and classroom application experiences with fellow colleagues in the cluster, in so doing receive affirmation and recognition for the good work done over the year.

  • Encouraging teachers to form meaningful networks with fellow colleagues in the cluster to facilitate future exchange of ideas and resources .
