This session will showcase the possibility of students collaborating online to plan and write a narrative based on a given topic. Students will collaborate on the SLS platform, Padlet and Google Doc to write the narrative as well as provide constructive feedback about one another's work.

This session focusses on how students are taught the skill of comparing decimals in a fun and interesting way. Students were instructed to relate comparing decimals with real-life examples and asked to share where they could find decimals in their daily lives. Physical and online manipulatives (Decimal Number Disc) were also used, to get students to understand how to compare decimals using the place value chart. The concept of financial literacy was also infused through the comparison of the price of products.

This workshop will showcase the various lesson packages used to teach Science on the SLS.

This workshop shows how the available CL resources in the SLS platform were used to support reading comprehension among Primary Two CL students. The comprehension package is crafted to overcome pupils' current reluctance towards, and lack of confidence in dealing with reading comprehension questions.

Using the SLS audio recording and rubric/checklist functions, pupils are required to provide responses and assess their peers based on the given videos. Prior to the SLS session, pupils are already familiar with the e-oral assessment rubrics and were taught various strategies to answer e-oral questions (5W1H/SAMMBoB, R3ICH, PSC). Through this SLS session, students are able to review personal responses and assess their peers. The feedback session is also useful for pupils to learn from one another and help their peers improve on their responses.

This session focuses on enhancing students writing skills through questioning and scaffolding using the SLS. Students brainstorm for ideas using questioning techniques which are also used to surface emotions experienced by the characters as well as values learned through the pictures.

Using the online video as examples, pupils will learn elements like keeping up with the tempo (with metronome), adding on layers as the song builds up, as well as singing and playing classroom instruments.

This session shows how Augmented Reality can make learning more interactive using Augmented Reality and SLS.

This session shows how students are taught to observe and follow basic rules when working with others, to listen to one another and build upon one another’s ideas and strengths.
The following teaching strategies will also be shared: Reinforcing students’ understanding of the concept of “Cooperation”.
Helping students appreciate the importance of turn-taking in order to cooperate well as a team.
