P.I.E.S. is a framework for wellness and it fosters self-development. When we actively engage and fuel our four pillars (i.e. P.I.E.S.), we create consciousness of our holistic self and the surroundings.

You could self-initiate any activity that aids in your physical, intellectual, emotional or social well-being. Some examples could be:

Physical

  • Learn a new sports (e.g. table tennis, badminton, rollerblading)

  • Engage in a high intensity interval training (HIIT) exercise for a few days

  • Explore an area to hike/walk with your family and friends (note: seek parental/guardian consent)

Intellectual

  • Learn something new (e.g. how to master queen's gambit in a game of chess)

  • Watch a viral video/news and analyse the issues from multiple perspectives

  • Read a fiction/non-fiction book and summarise your learnings in a vlog

  • Make music using instruments and/or self-made instruments

Emotional

  • Engage in acts of kindness and journal your experience

  • Keep a gratitude jar (i.e. pen down one thing that you are grateful for, for a few days/weeks) and share your experience

Social

  • Self-initiate a meaningful activity with your friends/loved ones

  • Could be any of the above

(note: each student should document their own learning in vlog, podcast, and etc)
