Start-It-Right: Building Connections and Growing as Crestians

The Start-It-Right Programme supports Secondary 1 students in their transition to secondary school by helping them understand Crestian culture, build positive relationships and develop the skills needed to thrive in their new learning environment.

Through structured activities and peer interactions, students will learn to communicate their thoughts clearly, listen respectfully to others and build supportive friendships with classmates from diverse backgrounds. They will be encouraged to embrace new challenges, appreciate differences and influence one another positively through their words and actions.

The programme also develops students’ self-discipline and sense of responsibility. Through an introduction to The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership, with a focus on “Model the Way”, students will learn how effective leaders set positive examples, demonstrate school values and take responsibility for their actions.

By the end of the programme, students will have a clearer understanding of what it means to be a Crestian, greater confidence in communicating and working with others, and a stronger foundation for becoming responsible leaders who contribute positively to the school community.
